As students started finishing their wire sculpture frames, we decided that the silver wire wasn’t working to show off all our hard work as best as it could. So we decided to add some colour.
Students first experimented with their wire sculptures and spray paint to see if they could create cool line compositions – by layering their wires and spraying with various colours. This helped his to also get control of pressure needed and the intricacies of the spray paint cans.
Then we sprayed our wire sculptures – either all one colour, or different colours for different layers. Each student tried to create a colourful creative composition.
When we got back into the class, we touched up our designs with some paint pens… and the final compositions are pretty awesome!!
