A great start to the year!

Dear Families,

We have had a fantastic start to the year and developed a strong sense of community within our lessons. We have worked towards developing fundamental movement skills and body control with a focus on spatial awareness. Through our integrated units of inquiry, students have been understanding the importance of taking responsibility for their actions, and how this effects a community. The students have developed their essential agreements which include Respecting Each-other, Respecting Ourselves and Respecting the Environment, and what this looks like in our PE lessons. The PYP learner profile is integral to the PE lessons and provides students the opportunity to demonstrate the attributes and also reflect on their own learning throughout each lesson.

Please take some time to discuss what it looks like to be principled in a PE lesson, or ask your children to demonstrate some of their learning to you over the Golden Week break.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions.

Miss Dani

PreK 1 PE Week 1: Community Building & Safety Management

PreK1 started PE with knowing each other and building positive relationships. Once students build trust and feel they belong, then the learning begins. In addition, PreK1 had the opportunity to check out areas for gross motor skills and learned safety rules when playing.

Welcome to Early Primary PE!

The Early Primary PE blog site is here to provide information regarding the programme and the specialist team. We will update the blog with photos and videos throughout the year, particularly when there are special events. SeeSaw will also be used with individual student and class based learning activities as the student portfolio.

Please feel free to contact the team if you have any questions.
