I am recharged and ready for my fifth year in 4th grade at SIS. I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and spent the summer at our home in Berthoud, Colorado. As a learner, I have a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in Human Geography and Education, and a master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado in Special Education: Teaching the Gifted and Talented. I have been a facilitator of learning for 21 years in areas from bilingual classes, technology, gifted and talented programs, and grades 2 through 10. My wife, Johnna, is a 5th grade teacher here. I have an amazing daughter, Saige, in 12th grade at Bayside. I also have an incredible son, Chance, who is starting a graduate assistantship at Western Michigan University teaching brass. I love music, gardening, drama, cooking, golf, fishing, reading, teaching, and learning. It is my goal to take each child as far as they possibly can go from the day they enter our classroom until the day they leave. It is my hope that they become passionate, self-directed, lifelong learners who can make a difference in any area they choose.
