What happens when you give 2nd Grade students the opportunity to choose how they want to share their learning? So many awesome things! Last week, the children chose an object, place, or lifestyle to share how it has changed over time. After some research into their topic, they were given the agency to choose how they wanted to share their learning. They created posters, paper books, ebooks, Keynote presentations, PicCollages, and Seesaw video blogs. Here is some of their work (check out Seesaw to see the rest!):
We’ve started off the new year learning some new skills. Here are some highlights of the learning we’re doing:
Math: 3-digit addition and subtraction with and without regrouping
Writing: Opinion Writing – supporting our opinions with reasons and examples
Reading: Summarizing fiction books (SWBST)
We’re looking forward to 3 Way Conferences next week (sign up sheets will be sent out on Wednesday afternoon) and the G2 Music Performance this Thursday morning!
