K-5 Collaboration piece for the Primary Art Exhibition on May 17th
On May 17th we are having an art show. There will be a drop-in reception that evening from 6-8PM. The art show is an event to celebrate all the work the students have done in their art class over the year. It is also to showcase the art curriculum. Each student from Kindergarten through 5th grade will have at least one 2-D art piece in the show along with a mini sculpture that will be apart of a school collaboration piece. Pieces are selected to highlight all the various skills and techniques the students are learning throughout the year.
If you cannot make it to the May 17th reception or would like a second look the show it will also be open for viewing from 8:30 AM-5:00PM on Friday, May 18th, 2018.
4th grade Contour Self Portraits inspired by artist Niels Kiene
4th Grade Collaboration with Home Rooms.
The 4th grade students are making pieces inspired by essays they are writing for their homeroom classes. They are also allowed to choose the medium to work in. Some of the choices are using acrylic paint and pointillism, collage in the style of Eric Carle, and Oil pastel in the style of Jonathan Green and Van Gogh.
