Hi, my name is Leticia Cariño and I am thrilled to return to the Grade 3 team here at S.I.S for my third year!
Last year, my husband and I, adopted Gael Chera, a baby boy from Ethiopia who is filling our life with joy and happiness. He will be joining our SIS family in January when he turns 2.
Prior to working at S.I.S. I worked in Holland, at The American School of the Hague, in the U.S. at the Dallas Independent School District and in several schools in Spain. I have over ten years’ experience, teaching P.E. in middle and high school and being an elementary classroom teacher. I hold a Master’s Degree in Physical Education and a Teaching Certificate, as well as a Certificate to teach French.
I believe that children are able to learn much faster if they enjoy what they are doing and that’s why I love to make use of technology, games, and other strategies to engage the children and help them in their learning process.
Apart from spending time with my family and friends, I love being outdoors, running, practicing yoga, reading and learning.
I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you and your child better throughout the year. I believe communication between school and home is important. If you ever have a question or concern please do not hesitate to contact me.
