I don’t know if you’ve been told,
Tens are tall and ones are small.
First you add up all your tens,
Then add those ones onto the end!

As we try to make sense of larger and larger numbers, we are learning to think in terms of place value. Today, the kids were adding three, two digit numbers by simply using the hundreds chart effectively. Dropping down the column to add tens and moving across the rows to add ones. Can you tell the numbers we are representing.
