Week 29 @PreK1a – Brave Bears, the Young Writers
It’s a very cool thing to be a writer. – Bryan Hutchinson
Indeed! The Brave Bears were very cool when they were creating their first digital story using My Story app. They confidently navigated the app and discovered how they can make their writing piece not just beautiful but more meaningful, and as well how their voice will be heard.
Prior to introducing the digital story to the whole class, there were a few children started exploring and begun making stories. These children final stories were used as provocation, and when the class was asked if they can make a digital story they proudly answered, “YES!” Each Brave Bear’s even chosen their own subject or focus of their story. Can you guess some?
Writers at work!
The Brave Bears’ digital stories can access next week through a QR code @Level 5 Literacy Lounge. Hope you can find a time to see, appreciate and enjoy not only the Brave Bears’ work, as well as the other children literacy piece.
Digital story making was a part of the Brave Bears’ journey to the digital portfolio. This is a vital learning experience to help them make a judgment and a better understanding of what goes into their digital portfolio.
