It’s almost the end of our project: The Butterfly life cycle
We are decorating wings, crowns and draw butterflies on our faces. It was a happy butterfly party!
Our class caterpillars are slowly turning to cocoons in their box. It’s exiting for the children to fallow this change and we wanted to give them the feeling of being a cocoon.
Hiding in a pillowcase gave the children a feeling of caterpillar that turning into a butterfly. Look at them in the pillowcase:
When it’s raining, we have a good opportunity to visit other classes, and today it was the day we went to visit the ECC2 – The Laser Bugs class.
Interacting with bigger children gives the little ones opportunity to interact with older children, play in another class with different toys, increasing their communication skills and ,make new friends.
Starting to learn about the butterfly life cycle. We have a box full of egg and dry cocoons from last year. Waiting for the eggs to hatch, the children checking the eggs every day to see how pop out???
After few days the caterpillars are hatching from the eggs. They are so so tiny that we can hardly see them.
The caterpillars are so hungry. We have to pick fresh lives every day to feed them. After picking the lives we have to wash and dry them and them put them in the box for the caterpillar to munch on.
Watching the caterpillars growing slowly every day checking on them and feed them with fresh lives.
Using magnify glasses to see the small details on their body more clear!
Dancing in a mud puddle is so much fun! You can feel the water on your feet, the little stones, and the wet muddy soil. You can even dip your hand inside it, and mix, mix, mix!
Our PE lesson:
Start with running around the basketball court to get warm.
After warming up we are trying to use the sponge rackets and hit the small balls between us and it’s not easy at all…..
Playing the parachute, put it up high and try to hide under it is so much fun!
rolling the ball from one side to the other side of the circle.
