Dear SIS Parents,
In celebration of Book Week at SIS…we are asking that you share your reading pride!
Can you remember when you got “hooked” as a young reader? Do you recall the feeling that suddenly the world was filled with opportunities and you were so hungry to read more? Do you remember the last time you read something so well written or so powerful or so informative that you absolutely had to share it with someone else?
If so, we need you to share your passion for reading with our elementary children. YOU could be that person that makes the difference in their reading lives. All you have to do is choose a class or classes to read to, sign up for a time, and then choose the book that you think will best showcase your own love of reading to your young audience. Will you help us? You can set a powerful example for these children.
Here’s the sign-up link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1lx_bSpLDKv4oOqPYavCjAr9Sexj3NO6tXoPVaUt9n38/edit?usp=sharing and if you can’t open the link, please ask a librarian to show you the schedule and sign you up!
Thanks for your time and consideration,
SIS Book Week Committee
