We have learned a new math card game using numbers to 10. It’s very easy. Let your child teach you. You need a deck of cards and 20 counters (beans, coins or anything small). Split the deck in half and each player turns over one card to show the number. The person with the highest card picks one counter. Continue playing until all counters are taken. Count to see who has the most counters. If you both turn over the same card number, you decide if each person takes a counter or no one takes a counter. You can also play it by having the person with the lowest card pick the counter. (We haven’t played it this way yet so be warned…your child may think you can’t play it this way.
