1A Weekly Message
Dear 1A Parents,
It has been quite the busy week! We welcomed our wonderful Chinese parents to our class to help celebrate and learn about Chinese New Year. Students got to make dumplings, lanterns and enjoy presentations and songs. We learned new things about CNY customs and traditions. Thank you parents!
Today is the 100th day of school! Thank you for your support in our 100 Day projects. Students have been enjoying sharing their work with the class, while admiring others work. They all turned out unique-with obvious hard work and creativity!
Reading: Continue to explore Nonfiction books, read about Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day (Kindness)
Writing: We are writing notes of gratitude and kindness to our 1A friends.
Math: We are finishing up our problem solving unit.
AMPed is on Tuesday. We are also participating in “World Play Day”! More information to follow.
We will meet with our Buddy Class next week to do a Chinese New Year project.
