Grade 6 enjoyed a day of experiential learning through hiking, kayaking and canyoning. These activities, some new to students, pushed their boundaries to move beyond their fear and be open-minded about trying new things. By trusting and believing in themselves, students were reflective and realized how much more courageous and confident they actually are than they previously thought. Learning opportunities that allow students to safely move outside their comfort zone are perfect opportunities for our youth to gain the life skills that will benefit their personal development and self-esteem for a lifetime.
