“Yangshuo is well-known for its limestone karst formations, which dominate the countryside. Less known are the numerous caves within these karst formations, formed by thousands of years of erosion.” Students learned about how caves are formed, and how they continue to grow and change. “These caves are full of winding, maze-like passages, some of which are off-limits. Boats take you into the cave, but you will also crawl through the mud at times, as well as climb up, down, and around stalagmites and stalactites.” (https://www.viator.com/Yangshuo-attractions/Water-Caves/d4447-a6579)
Yes SIS students got into the experience and really went for it! They took risks, got dirty, learned about caves and got to really experience them. This is what it’s all about!
