Even in the brisk fall day, craftsmen and women weave together bamboo to make and use in daily life.  What an amazing display of knowledge handed down from generations which connects our students to helping care for other by providing needed resources to live daily life in rural China.  These new found skills help them to appreciate the hard work and dedication it takes to hone a craft.  Looks like our kids have nailed it and even had tea to keep them warm.

Bamboo weaving products represent Chinese national folk tradition for making daily-use handiwork, and bamboo weaving requires diverse skills as our SIS students got first hand knowledge about. Grass weaving products are widely distributed in China and are soft, portable, plain, and generous. (https://www.chinatravel.com/facts/chinese-weaving-craft.htm)
