Community service

Some groups did Community Service, cleaned irrigation gutters that serve the farming community.  Some groups also did a trash pick-up at the river using gloves and tongs. After the trash pick up, DF led a timeline activity estimating the time that it takes for different materials to decompose and then asked students what they can do in their personal lives. This is all a part of building global awareness and a caring community by immersing students in local communities.
