Grade 9 had another awesome day of cultural immersion and fun activities. Students experienced making tofu in a local factory and toured the interesting and ancient Peng Family House. In the afternoon they learned survival skills including how to safely make fires and build their own shelters.  For their final night, they reflected on the week’s fulfilling experiences through understanding and empathizing with each other’s feelings, journaling, and being grateful for all the wonders that we are blessed with in our lives. Based on the new levels of companionship that were nurtured during this memorable time away from school, students closed out their last night singing and doing skits around the campfire. This is sure to be a memory that our students will recall with fondness for decades to come…
