to our own SIS Artists (below)…

Step 1: Students tear paper a little at a time from the edges to make “mock bark”.

Step 2: Drawing- Students chose an animal from the library of silhouettes.

Step3: Aboriginal artist’s used x-ray vision to imagine the insides of the animal and create a unique design. Using colored pencils and a limited palette (only warm colors that can be found inĀ  pigments in nature).

Step 4: Dot painting around the outer edge to create a high contrast accent to the silhouette.
